At Land’s End

In the end, time softens everything, leaving us with memories of what once was. We turn the pages of an album and see the faces that were once real. It is the fleeting nature of time that makes these moments so beautiful, though sometimes beautifully painful. In this new series, model Audrey Cote and photographer Dustin Scott Martin spend a calm, reflecting afternoon exploring the coast of Maine, following the light as it changes moment by moment.

“At one point while shooting, we found the initials A.J.S., 1882, hand-etched into one of the weathered stones, and it kind of stopped us both,” Dustin says. “The discovery shifted something in the way we approached the rest of the shoot. It was subtle and exciting. Each frame afterward felt like part of a longer conversation about what brings people to this place where the land meets the sea.”

We love how the afternoon tells as a series of small recognitions: the weight of stone, the pull of horizon, the strange intimacy of retracing a stranger’s steps across time. We are reminded that while the moments we share may be brief, they are part of a larger progression that’s mysterious, unrelenting, and beautiful.

Hello from my planet! I love nature, freedom, dancing, traveling, music, reading, chilling, cats and the woods. What makes me happy is healthy food, a good night out, long walks in the forest and getting lost in the sound of nature.
