“This session was born from the inspiration of two souls who share a deep love for the ocean,” photographer Serenela Dinis tells us about her shoot with model Micaela Morgado — a tribute to the ocean but also a celebration of feminine energy.
When you look at the images, you can also immediately see and feel it: everything is already there, everything is already as beautiful as it is. The perfection that surrounds you — and that you also carry within yourself — becomes even more visible in simplicity.
“The location — Praia de Boca Mar, in Portugal, near Espinho — was carefully chosen together, as we both envisioned the strength of the rocks and the idyllic view of the sea. Although we faced a few setbacks with the weather, we trusted the process and ended up finding the perfect day and time to create. What happened next was pure magic.
The communication between us flowed naturally — woman to woman — which allowed the beauty of the session to emerge so effortlessly. We were both enchanted with the results. With Micaela being not only a professional model but also managing Models Factory, it quickly became clear that these photos could not remain only for us. They carried too much power and resonance to be hidden.
And for me, Serenela, an eternal lover of emphasizing women’s beauty through photography, this was much more than a photoshoot. It was a one-to-one experience, almost therapeutic, where I felt profoundly happy to witness and capture this moment of strength, softness, and truth.”
