Fragments of a honeymoon.
Today, we’re taking you along on a slow-paced escape to Crete. Think golden hour light, open roads stretching into the horizon, and still, unfiltered moments—all captured timelessly on film.
Photographer Nikoloz Jorjikashvili and his wife, Tatia Popkhadze, took their Nikon F100 and Canon AE-1 Program along for the ride, capturing their days together on Kodak Ektar 100 and Kodak Gold 200.
The result is a beautiful little collection of memories that feels wonderfully unhurried. Sun-drenched landscapes, spontaneous stops, and all those little moments in between that often become the ones we remember most. Nikoloz shares a few words about their journey:
“Some places you remember by name, others by the way the light hits everything. Crete was definitely the second. We didn’t overthink the trip. We just wanted to get away from our normal routine at home for a few days.
Honestly, I picked Crete on a whim while looking up aquariums that had jellyfish. Right before our flight, we picked up a second 35mm camera, packed some film, and went. We spent most of the time driving around, pulling over whenever something caught our eye. Film felt like the right way to slow down and hold onto the mood — the heat, the water, the empty roads.”
