“If you can’t fall in love with my soul at first sight, at least fall in love with my cover.” Georgiana

“Living in an utopian society that wants to be „dystopian” searching for perfection on social media made me want to shoot different people that have something to say through their bodies. No filters, just skin, pores, flaws and life. Because life is outside the box.” explains Roxana Neacsu, 26-year young photographer based in Bucharest, Romania the inspiration of her work. And we immediately get caught by her shooting with Georgiana Timus. A unique intimacy comes into being between the model and the viewer and not just because of the nudeness.

The city is hers

She walks trough the commonly busy city streets, but today it feels like the place is all hers. Mahi Kabra of IMG Models tells her own story while being surrounded by new tall buildings and old statues that tell their own stories. Alternating between colour and black and white, photographer Dina Gad manages to achieve a gripping and varied photo series, with a hint of nostalgia and a young, strong woman embodied by model Dina. “In this new story I captured two creative spirits: Akidor & Chuong in Nairobi, Kenya.” she tells us. “We spent the day together and drove to some of our favorite (hidden) places in the city. We cooled off in vintage 60’s pools to escape the heat. We listened to music, had fun dressing up and talked about what’s on their minds. We danced until the sun went down.”

At my grandma’s house

I’ve always been inspired by my grandma’s traditional East Coast Catholic decorating, and the fact that she has lived in the same house since she married my grandpa in the 1940s. It’s the house that my dad and all his siblings grew up in, and where I spent a lot of time as a child. I was excited to finally create something using this location that captured the dreamlike isolation that I always feel in the suburbs.”
