“Missed Call”: A chat with upcoming pop artist Nadine
Being an artist is about finding your voice. It’s not an easy thing to do, and every creator has a different path in doing so. For LA-based pop artist Nadine, she has finally done just that. Coming in the form of her most recent single “Missed Call”, a three minute entry that recounts reluctantly ignoring a call from an ex lover, she’s honed her craft in to the point she always wanted it to live at. “It feels like the most Nadine song for me to come out with,” says the 22-year-old singer-songwriter, “…it feels like I’ve finally found my sound.”
Trust your “Gut Feeling” with The Ella Sisters
At the moment, life is really an up and down. Unpredictable like approaching waves that rebel and break with all their power in all directions only to sink back into the sea. It is all the more important not to lose one’s inner compass and to trust one’s gut feeling in between all those turbulences. This is also the main theme of the new song “Gut Feeling” of the twin sisters from Norway, Maren and Charlotte alias The Ella Sisters.

Using analog filters, the effect of blending is intentionally enhanced. A visual experiment inspired by analog, translated in digital.”

Their new song “Noisy Floor, Silent Room” immediately draws you in. Soft at first, the song turns more and more into a genre-mixing piece that takes you on a deep journey through a psychedelic riot of sound. Speaking about it, they share: “The song tells a story of betrayal, that took place at the end of a relationship. The breaking of trust, helped putting and end to the relationship which had been dragging on for too long. Sometimes you need to get lost, to be able to find something new.”

“Living in an utopian society that wants to be „dystopian” searching for perfection on social media made me want to shoot different people that have something to say through their bodies. No filters, just skin, pores, flaws and life. Because life is outside the box.” explains Roxana Neacsu, 26-year young photographer based in Bucharest, Romania the inspiration of her work. And we immediately get caught by her shooting with Georgiana Timus. A unique intimacy comes into being between the model and the viewer and not just because of the nudeness.
The city is hers
She walks trough the commonly busy city streets, but today it feels like the place is all hers. Mahi Kabra of IMG Models tells her own story while being surrounded by new tall buildings and old statues that tell their own stories. Alternating between colour and black and white, photographer Dina Gad manages to achieve a gripping and varied photo series, with a hint of nostalgia and a young, strong woman embodied by model Dina. CONVERSATIONS is a new project inspired by the global lack of and need for meaningful dialogue and true empathy. The exchange between individual groups, views and ways of life is as important as never before. “There’s a story in ‘Left to My Own Devices,’ though like a lot of the best stories, I don’t think you need to understand exactly what the story is to understanding what the feeling is. In some ways it’s a love letter to both the canon of American electronic music and my younger self, giving that person a way forward, saying that all the struggles were worth it, to keep going.
