“Details” is a wonderful collection of analog self-portraits by Stefania Papagni, focused on body details and the beauty of characteristic.

“I never had a good relationship with my body, like almost all the girls. Every time I looked at my reflection I found so many defects all together that sometimes I couldn´t see anything good. So one day I thought I would not look at all the things as a whole, that I have always considered as my imperfections and with the help of a mirror I discovered that looked at individually, those details were not that bad.”

The 24 year young Italian-French girl Stefania Papagni explores her body by a photography series where she´s reflecting different parts into a mirror and like this you are able to see the fragments out of context. “The details could belong to anyone: and so a belly maybe not too flat becomes only a belly, stretch marks on the butt seen from another perspective turn out even nice and I found that the moles that I  never loved are just a characteristic of mine.” she explains. “This project is helping me to be less self-critical and to love me and who I am a little more.”
