“I guess being in front of camera teached me that there is no reason in the world to be shy.” Definitely! We introduced you to gorgeous Lithuanian model Damu Lee last week and are back with more of her. This time round photographed by Andrei Topli at Venth Studios London.
“The idea of the shoot was to represent that liberating feeling when you come home from a long day and all you want to do is just be yourself. We aimed to do that in a quick succession of shots using just 1 roll of film.” Andrei explains. The young artists left Romanian Art School and is living in London for 3 years now. After a long period of trying different things and artistic expressions he rediscovered his passion for fashion/portrait photography and 35mm film. He continues: “Since we wanted it to feel very authentic and casual, Damu just played the part in 1 single take and I followed her around, capturing her movement and interactions around the room without interrupting her. I feel in the end it does give it that very candid vibe we were looking for. Damu is very raw, energetic and has a very authentic look. I only met her on the day of the shoot but we instantly connected and was a very fun experience.”
Shot on 35mm film – Canon 3000N with 24-105mm lens and Canon 600EX-RT speedlight Kodak portra 400 film
