A Day in Santa Monica – “Shay, a dear friend, had just got back from Bali the night before the shooting and had stayed with some friends. I think she had slept for an hour or two before our shoot. Prior to meeting up she had passed out on the beach and when we met to shoot she had a hilarious sun burn on her back and bum. She also had all of her belongings with her that she had traveled with, like everything in one giant backpack. It was pretty funny. I don’t think either her or I were in the mood to take photos as it took some tea and coffee to get us moving. We ended up having so much fun though. Mostly goofing off on the pier and near by and catching up in between photos. Santa Monica is rad like that. Even if you live in Los Angeles you can play tourist for super cheap. We rode a couple rides (because I made her). Followed up by some super ghetto Italian chain restaurant food.”
