The 21st century girl doesn’t pertain to any stereotype. She’s a chick of many talents, one moment she’s in Europe, the next she’s in Asia. She’s working on several artistic projects at once and killing at every single one. She’s a mix of races – picking up different cultures as she travels. She’s the mysterious girl at the party you want to know her life story who everyone has their eyes on. Here we have sat down and chatted for you.
Sweets, champagne, love hotel getaway, get into the world of NYC based fashion blogger Rachel Lynch of I Hate Blonde. Photographs by Lauren Engel
Do you see yourself living any other place than NYC?
Right now I don’t think I could live anywhere but New York. Whenever I land back here from LA, I’m like ahhh I can breath, I’m home.
Still can’t get over your mini-adventures living in a teepee and the love hotel–looks unreal! How did you find out about these places?
I found out about that place from my photographer friend – we went on a week long road trip and that was our third night stop. It was literally so surreal and spooky to sleep in a teepee for a night.
Where else do you plan to check out next?
I’m hoping to spend some time shoot and hanging in the desert in Palm Springs next.
How did you get into spiritual meditation–third eye meditation/reiki?
I’ve always been deeply spiritual. I was raised Catholic, but my mother is a Taoist so I started studying Taoism and Hinduism while I was in High School. From there I started doing yoga and became a vegan. Meditation came naturally from that. It was just time for me to ascend.
If you had $1000, which brands would you spend it on?
If I had a 1,000 dollars I would buy hella Rick Owens
Describe a day in your life
A day in my life usually involves waking up getting an almond milk late and blogging. From there I’ll either have a photos hoot and celebrate afterwards with some champagne and good New York food. Or I’ll have a more chill day to myself, go on a 7 mile run through Central Park on williamsburg and then do some meditation and yoga. I need my days to myself, it gives me such clarity.
If you were invited to the Oscars, what would you wear?
To the oscars I would wear a custom white bra and panty with a white see-through skirt over it and tons of crystals on my face.
