“Real Love? I have mixed thoughts about love. Love is an emotion, and like all emotions they can be manipulated and controlled. On the contrary, I feel that people that vibe on the same frequency have a deeper connection.”

Chantel Jeffries was born in Coronado, California and over the years has modelled for product lines Solstice Sunglasses, Mint-Swim and Fine Ass Girls, lines by Draya from VH1’s Basketball Wives. Ever since she was young she acted – performed in her high school’s drama club, took theatre classes and studied it in college. Chantel was discovered in a beach in Miami by a model scout and afterwards was signed to Wihelmina Models. She was inspired by people to start her own makeup brow line – Chantelle XO for women to be more comfortable about their eyebrows. After the line became success, she started her leather and accessories line named Club Noir. The pieces since then have been worn by Justin Bieber, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jaden Smith and many others. Recently she has acted in upcoming comedy Dinner with the Stankershets.
Describe your childhood and upbringing.
I grew up in a military family, so I moved around a lot. It was cool to be able to experience different types of environments and in my opinion, it gave me a more diverse outlook on life.
At what age did you move to LA and what inspired you to do so?
I moved to LA at age 21. I was living in Miami beforehand while I completed university. I spent a large portion of my life growing up in San Diego, so I was always interested in making my way back to the West Coast. Most importantly, LA is the ideal place to be located when it comes to my career.
What does beauty mean to you?
To me, beauty is very much an outward reflection of what is on the inside. When you’re healthy and happy, you are the best you, that you can be.
How did you start modeling, DJing and acting?
I started modeling here and there, upon request when I lived in Miami, until I was approached by Wilhelmina and signed with them. As far as acting, I have always had an interest in it. I studied acting growing up and did a semester at a School of the Arts, while attending college. They call me CeeJay the DJ, but thats more of a joke. I am interested in music and I do see that as something I will definitely get into in the future.
What inspired you to start your eyebrow kit line? Where do you see it going?
I was inspired to start an eyebrow kit because growing up I always hated my eyebrows, so I wanted to help everyone else learn to love their brows as I had done. I’m working on my next kit now, which is something fresh and new so I’m pretty excited about that!
Describe your most enjoyable moment while filming Dinner with the Stankershets.
The whole process was a really great learning experience. During the movie there was a scene where we had to speak in Korean but no one could quite get their lines right, so we started saying the most random things and everyone was cracking up. I guess you kinda had to be there, but hopefully that part will come out in the bloopers.
If you could meet anyone from history, who would it be and why?
If I could meet anyone in history it would have to be Nikola Tesla because he was considered the smartest man by the men that most people would consider the smartest man.
The moments you are lying in your bed.. which thoughts come up too you?
When I’m lying in bed I usually start thinking about the universe and random stuff like, why are we here?…What’s the purpose of life?…Aliens…and much more.
What’s your perception about real love?
I have mixed thoughts about love. Love is an emotion, and like all emotions they can be manipulated and controlled. On the contrary, I feel that people that vibe on the same frequency have a deeper connection.
