The 21st century girl doesn’t pertain to any stereotype. She’s a chick of many talents, one moment she’s in Europe, the next she’s in Asia. She’s working on several artistic projects at once and killing at every single one. She’s a mix of races – picking up different cultures as she travels. She’s the mysterious girl at the party you want to know her life story who everyone has their eyes on. Here we have sat down and chatted for you.

Jasmine Tosh Lately is a fashion, swimwear, and travel Blogger, socialite, TV host, and model. She was born in Northern California, has lived in Miami and now lives in Los Angeles. Jasmine loves photography, traveling, shopping, blogging, animals, and making appearances at events. Currently, Jasmine is focusing on both traveling more and managing her blog.

Tell us about your upbringing and how did it shape the person you are now?

I am an only child and grew up with a single mother in Southern California. I was born in Northern California, but raised in Los Angeles. My mom had me at a young age, and even though she never had it easy, and worked all the time to pay the bills, she always made me feel like I was the luckiest kid in the world. Growing up in LA was super fun because there was always something to do and the weather was always perfect. My mom and grandma both have a great fashion sense, and I have been into fashion ever since I could pick out and put on my own clothes on as a toddler. I have always loved fashion and dressing up. As soon as I could walk, my mom said I thought I was a performer- dressing up, dancing, and singing for everyone. Being an only child and seeing how hard my mom worked when I was young, has made meĀ into the independent and hard working person I am today.

What inspired you to start blogging and what did you do before?

I have modelled ever since I was just three years old. I got into blogging just two years ago because I wanted to start documenting my outfits. I love fashion and always got compliments on my outfits. I started my blog just for fun on Thanksgiving in 2013 as a fun hobby. As I received more of a following on Instagram, and positive feedback, I invested in a better camera and turned my blog into a business. I love my job because I am making a living from something that I absolutely love to do.

“I don’t think that anyone truly has a perfect body. Being confident in your own skin is what makes you sexy.”

Why did you decide to move from Los Angeles to Miami?

I actually went to five different high schools when I was a teenager, because of my mom’s job. So I actually graduated high school in Northern Virginia. After I graduated, I moved back to LA to model, but at 18 years old, I just couldn’t afford to live there on the money I was making. I went to Miami blindly, not knowing what to expect- but hoping to continue modelling. I have lived in Miami ever since, and have grown up a lot here. I moved here when I was 19.

Confidence in your own body is a hot topic in our magazine. How do you define confidence and would you perceive yourself as being confident?

I don’t think that anyone truly has a perfect body. Being confident in your own skin is what makes you sexy. I have seen the most gorgeous models at castings in Miami, and some of the girls were so awkward because they weren’t confident in their own skin. You have to accept who you are, and work with it. I know my best angles, and what works with my body, so with that being said, I walk around with all of the confidence in the world. No one is perfect.

In your opinion, what are the pros and cons of travel/fashion blogging?

The pros of fashion blogging is obviously receiving free things every day in the mail and also, getting paid to blog about beautiful clothing and accessories. If you’re a serious blogger, blogging is a full time job. Everything I do, and every decision I make is revolved around my blog. Traveling is also a huge pro being a travel/fashion blogger. If I didn’t have my blogging career, I probably wouldn’t be on a plane every month. The only con I can think of, is there not being enough time in a day.

You define yourself as a travel blogger, where have you travelled to and what have you learnt from visiting these places?

I have recently established my blog as both a Fashion AND Travel blog. I have only been to Canada, Mexico, and The Caribbean so far. One of the most beautiful place I have ever been to is Saint Lucia, and the Virgin Islands. I love experiencing different cultures and beautiful scenery that you can’t find in the United States. My goal for 2016 is to travel the world.

What is your perception on true love?

True love is smiling and laughing constantly with one another. True love is having someone by your side to be excited for your next adventure with.

Jasmine’s approach to life and work really reflects the spirit of the ā€œmodern womanā€ theme—embracing independence, travel, and creativity all on her own terms. It’s refreshing to see someone build a lifestyle around what genuinely makes them happy, rather than following a rigid career path or traditional expectations.

Also love how she mixes fashion with travel—it’s more than just aesthetics; it becomes a way of experiencing and sharing the world. That kind of visual storytelling is powerful, especially in an age where authenticity can get lost in the influencer shuffle.

Really enjoyed Jasmine’s take on embracing independence and living life on her own terms—it’s cool to see someone mix fashion with travel in such a natural, personal way. It actually reminded me of a convo I had about how the clothes we wear (even the simple, everyday stuff) reflect that same kind of energy. I’ve been checking out different brands lately, just trying to find ones that feel real and not overhyped. Ran into some honest Caden Lane reviews recently while looking into their stuff—not just baby gear, but some surprisingly decent basics too. Worth a peek if you’re into laid-back, thoughtful style.
