The rad Berlin based Streetwear-Label DIT IS BALIN (which means “That is Berlin” in the Berlin slang), founded by Katrin Jacobi in 2015, is a project full of passion, quality and love for detail. The young Streetwear start-up stands for modern prints on sustainable produced clothes, where each self-designed print is carefully placed on the certified fairwear and organic products with silkscreen print by hand. “DIT IS BALIN is not like the usual ready-made clothes; with this you are supporting an attitude to life and rebelling against the established mass production.” explains Katrin. Not only do we like this attitude, but we can honestly tell you, once you are snuggled into one of her sweaters, you will never want to take it off again. The fact that wearing it, is adding just the right amount of coolness to its wearer so you could even make it into the Berghain and at the same time the high likelihood that it will become your favourite item due to its coziness, makes it just the perfect combination. But if you are one of those Berlin-discoveres you should definitely pass by the booth at the Maybachufer market, on Saturdays between 11 a.m and 5 p.m (the label usually announces the location on their facebook or instagram), which is a great opportunity to meet the lovely founder, before grabbing yourself or for someone else a unique Berlin garment.
