“My goals for 2017? More freedom, more self-expression, and more learning. I want to learn more about how I can help the environment & save the bees.”

New York born and Los Angeles raised musician Anabel Englund and photographer Christopher Brown paint China Town around LA red while we dance to the fresh and catchy sound of her latest release “London Headache”. Photographed and interviewed by Christopher Brown.

Describe the shoot in Chinatown LA:

Funny & fun Christopher Brown was fun to shoot with. I got to see a part of LA I’ve actually never been to before so that was tyte but we didn’t get to try the Dim Sum restaurant so I’ll have to go back.

Who are some dream artists you would love to collab with right now?

Maybe just a threesome w Drake & Rihanna that would be super kewl

Did you always know you wanted to pursue music?

I don’t know about pursue…music & I have always just found each other. Music & I fall into each other, it’s kinda hard to pursue something that’s already pursuing you if you know what I mean ;$

How would you describe your fashion style?

I like bright colorful things, little things, comfy things, lingerie from Agent Provocateur & platforms heels or vans kinda all over the place. I think I mostly enjoy making unattractive things look attractive on me 🙊

Favorite moment of 2016?

Getting an email with the subject saying “ELTON JOHN LOVES LONDON HEADACHE” (my new single) OMG I wrote back like what? Like Elton Fucking John? The label who put out my single (Defected Records) sent me an MP3 w him introducing it on his radio show saying my name & how much he loves it. Holy fuck I never would have imagined my name would come out of Elton Johns mouth. This is one favorite moment at least 💅🏾

What are some of your goals for 2017?

More freedom, more self-expression, and more learning. I want to learn more about how I can help the environment & save the bees. I want to learn how to speak Spanish & most importantly create more badass music that empowers people who listen to it.

Favorite food?

I like noodles whether it be Italian or Thai they just all taste so good. I like veggies too.

Spirit Animal?

MADAM MIM from The Sword In The Stone!

Hello from my planet! I love nature, freedom, dancing, traveling, music, reading, chilling, cats and the woods. What makes me happy is healthy food, a good night out, long walks in the forest and getting lost in the sound of nature.
