“I put a lot of emotion in every photoshoot. Each meeting is like an important episode of my life, which I’ll remember forever.” At present Moscow based photographer Ilya Kovrikov loves to capture the naturalness with his camera.
When did you start photography?
It all started over two years ago. To tell you the truth, I began to travel, met new people and took pictures of them in order to overcome some of my fears, increase social interactions and make my life and other people´s live more interesting and fun. And it worked.
Why do you work with normal girls instead of models?
Well, I travel around my country and take pictures of normal girls without experience in modelling. I can’t imagine what could be more awesome than arriving in one of many little towns, to find a beautiful girl over there who has never worked with photographers before and capture her beauty. I feel like a discoverer.
What do you want to capture in your work?
I put a lot of emotion in every photoshoot. Each meeting is like an important episode of my life, which I’ll remember forever. Every human has a story that I would like to hear. I want to keep memories about the time that we spent together, not only in my mind, but also in the photos. I want to show them to the world.
