We’re sure you can remember Amber van Elk. The series “Show me something natural” with her made big waves. Therefore we are delighted to have another exclusive story with her, this time photographed by Wouter Struyf. Furthermore we wanted to know more about the natural beauty and asked her a few quick questions.
“An hour drive and no wave in sight. Another disappointing day in the life of a land locked Belgian so-called surfer. Just until an instagram message popped up. We had never met in person but had been in touch a couple of times. Fifteen minutes later Amber arrived by tram and what was a dull weekday became a fun afternoon in the sun on the Belgian coast with orange umbrella’s, watermelons and a lot of laughing.” Wouter Struyf

When do you feel most like yourself?
Surrounded by friends and family.

I think I own my things, I feel like I’ve got my life under control and I usually don’t let someone change my mind.

Stop doing the things I love for someone else/because of someone else
Drink and drive
Fighting over stupid little things for more than 5minutes

Too much, 4-5hours a day

City or Countryside?
City, I love being in the middle of the vibrant city. I like the feeling of having people around me and not being alone. Also the shopping area keeps me in the city!

Most important person in your life?
My sister, she has always been there for me no matter what. She supports me in everything I do. She loves me and will always take care of me. She is really my best friend.
What do you imagine yourself doing ten years from now?
I would like to travel the world and it would be great to combine this while shooting with photographers from all over the world at places all over the world!
