Reading about Julius´story feels quite magical, almost like a movie plot. He was working two day jobs while playing on his mother´s piano to practice. One of the jobs, driving for Uber, led him to meet his management team who wanted to hear more about him once he was singing along to the radio. Inspired by classic R&B legends like Stevie Wonder, Jill Scott and Sade as well as newer artists like Frank Ocean and Sampha, his music has this timeless feel – and is the perfect soundtrack for those cold and cozy winter days, where we retreat and devote ourselves more with our inner thoughts and questions. “Talk” simply represents my struggles with my faith. It’s me asking questions out loud. I wrote it at my all time low…didn’t have a job, had no motivation to get one, wasn’t doing things that made me happy, my family was going through it, and this music thing just seemed further out of reach than ever.”
