A quick conversation between photographer ZahGuwop & Model KayGod.
Why did you choose to pursue a career as a model?
Well I didn’t start out as one. I started as a designer then later became a creative director. It was until early this year I decided to model because I felt like I had the potential. If you can do it, why not. I can be behind the camera or in front of it.
What do you see yourself doing in the future ?
I see myself doing many different things. I see myself doing concerts, fashion shows, working for magazines, modeling and having my own magazine as well. I’ll just have to figure out how to balance it all, because I want to do a lot. (laughs)
What are your inspirations?
I find a lot of inspiration in old music and vintage movies. I also like to look at old artwork, mostly oil paintings for creative inspiration. I study classic magazines like “Time” and “Vogue”. However I use mostly my own imagination for my creations.
How do you like the Fashion scene in NYC ?
I feel like the fashion scene in New York is really one of the best as it´s super diverse in fashion.
