Alex Saad´s new song “Body” is a heart-driven anthem for getting to the point.

The Los Angeles based musician – known as her stage name “alxxa” – was on the road to becoming a doctor, studying physics and pre-med in college, when she decided she wanted to pursue her love for music instead. A very logical, but unconventional way to get into making music, she applied her knowledge of physics to sonic developments and song structures. The pink-haired songstress clearly has a lot of heart, and it shows on her newest single, “Body” a heart-driven anthem for getting to the point. Today C-Heads brings you an exclusive first-listen of the song which will be the title track of her new EP, out next week.

“As a single woman in LA, I get a lot of first hand experience/research in the modern day dating scene. This song was embodying the idea of wanting someone to cut the bullshit, get down to the nitty gritty. Put your damn hands on my body.”

“I wrote and produced the “Body” demo on my own in my home studio. Though I LOVE and value cowriting and do it all the time, I still have a special place in my heart for writing alone. This one was a fun, simple, honest, sexy concept that wrote itself very quickly. As a single woman in LA, I get a lot of first hand experience/research in the modern day dating scene – hey we have to get our material from somewhere, right? This song was embodying – pun intended – the idea of wanting someone to cut the bullshit, get down to the nitty gritty, put your damn hands on my body. I brought in my skeleton demo to Gazzo, and he added all the special sauce to give it the BODY it has now.”
