Claudia du Lièvre is a swiss photographer currently living in London. Her recent analogue series featuring Marina wearing Isadore Intimates Brand. We had a quick chat with the dark-haired beauty to get to know her better.
What do you love most about yourself?
I’d like to think I have a big heart. I also smile a lot. Positive energy attracts positive people.
How much time are you spending on social media?
More than I’d like to. There is so much pressure to be “on” all the time that you feel like you’ll fall behind if you switch off.
How does social media affect our lives?
Some aspects of social media are amazing. It’s a free platform that gives everyone the tools to express themselves, inspire and be inspired by people across the world. However, the constant comparison with others can also be destructive to both your mental health and identity.
Who influenced you the most?
Strong women are my biggest influences, but strong can mean many things. It can be women that are confident, do what feels right for them and don’t care what society thinks. But strong can also mean having the courage to show your vulnerability and share your struggles.
How important are friends for you?
Friends are the most important thing in life. I’m lucky I have an amazing group of friends that would do anything for each other. The memories we build with our friends in our youth will stay with us forever.
What’s hard about life?
Loving yourself as much as you love others.
Tattoos?
I have a glyph symbol on my ribcage of a triangle with a line cutting through it. It means ‘transcend’ – to rise above and go beyond.
Where do you see yourself in the future?
I really want to be more self-sufficient one day. Grow my own vegetables and maybe have a little farm. But I also want to live in or close to London, so no idea how that’s going to work out!
