“Fake it, ‘till you make it.”
Are you familiar with the feeling that the time passes by much faster than it really does? Especially when we get older? I am sure you know what I am talking about, just as you might think right now that this application will also take you much more time than needed.
If you are not experiencing this phenomenon at the time, you are one lucky person.
In attempt to try to freeze time, in any possible way, I have decided to do something that I am only good at – playing ridiculous games. Oh, and making art.
“Life With Artist” is a work of autobiographical art from the creator Tajana Dedić-Starović, a project that will be a continuation of the ongoing personal, self-exploring project, “Theory of Self”. The main idea of the project is to present all the beauty and struggles of living with an artist. What makes an artist? Where does the inspiration comes from? Is there really a thing called inspiration?
Insecurities, both surreal and tangible; constant fighting; exhibitionism and eccentric behavior; hypersensitivity—all these things are major aspects of life with an artist.
This project is a portrait over time, with one photograph or video being produced to represent each of the 365 days. Over time, the image of the “Artist” becomes more nuanced and complete even as it becomes more inscrutable.
The project is ongoing, self-exploring and narrative.”
