“Sophia and I shoot this series “St Leonards Bay“ in Auckland, NZ, which is also a good spot for having a little rest from your daily business and taking a moment for yourself, enjoying the seaside or take your dog for a walk in the sunset. We end up shooting 15 rolls of 135 &120 film while chilling there the whole afternoon.”
Photographer Marcel Boer smiles when talking about his memories on the shooting. His work is about nostalgic moments and the beauty of the world, all with a dose of endless hedonism.
“Sophia is also a photographer and therefore it was pretty easy to shoot with her because she just knew very well what kind of expectations I had in mind.” he continues. “In the end it didn’t feel like a planned shooting, furthermore it was a good sunny day spend around Takapuna. It is always a pleasure to spend time with new people while traveling, so I just try to enjoy those happy short moments & make the best out of it.”
