Serendipity

It was this chance encounter, after Argentinian-born beauty Lou shared her Instagram story, that brought her together with Australian photographer Steve McKee. The series is simple and honest, shot in Lou’s almost completely bare apartment, with just her bed, her surfboard and guitar. While she’s normally found in a bikini – freediving or teaching stand-up paddle board yoga – this series captures Lou kicking back and enjoying her new home at Sydney’s iconic Manly Beach.

Steve: What an amazing view to wake up to.
Lou: I know! It’s a dream! My new apartment.
Steve: So beautiful. It would be fun to shoot at your place one day, just hanging out and doing your thing.
Lou: Yeah for sure – I think it could be really fun. You’ll have to direct me, I haven’t done a lot of photo shoots. If you’re up for the challenge so am I haha.
Steve: That would be amazing. Hey what are the chances that you’re free today? I had a last minute cancellation!
Lou: Sounds good! I have a yoga class to teach at 9. See you at 11? Wow this was a spin of my day.
Steve: Yeah it’s funny how things turn out! Sometimes the best things in life happen by pure chance. See you at 11!
