Last Friday Bruno Bicalho Carvalhaes took the train to join some friends at the Far Rockaway Beach, in Brooklyn, NY. “I wasn’t sure about who exactly was going to be there, but I took my film and Polaroid cameras just in case. A few weeks had passed since my last shooting and I was really feeling the need to shoot again. Despite the improvised circumstances, I’m glad to see the images came out with a natural and emotional vibe, which is one of the most important things I look for when shooting. And most importantly, I feel very lucky about those special friends I’ve met during so little time since living in New York.”
