After an intense heatwave, a few crisp, cooler days can feel like a small gift — we think. Photographer Ben Everden felt the same when he recently found himself in San Francisco, where he shot this series with Sofia Lee of Look Model Agency at China Beach.
“After months of Miami heat, San Francisco was freezing, foggy, and honestly a very welcome change. Grey skies, cold water, and the cliffs disappearing into the fog gave the whole afternoon such a beautiful, quiet mood.
I was traveling pretty light and shot the entire series on my little Fujifilm X100VI, which I think actually helped. Sofia and I kept things really loose and just wandered around the beach shooting as the fog moved in and out. There was no big production, just the two of us, a little camera, and a very cold afternoon.”
