Through the eyes of a woman
“In my work a female gaze is important. When I meet a model, I like to show through photography, who that woman really is. Aya is an independent, feminine and confident woman.” tells photographer Ismaelia Arzel Gelinard about Moroccan model Aya Chakir. Ismaelia is a young French photographer based in Brussels. While looking for models on tinder she came across Aya, they instantly connected and after meeting and spending an afternoon listening to Muni Long, having fun and exploring light, creativity and femininity, this beauteously series came into being. “With this photo-shoot Aya gained confidence in herself as well as myself in my work. ”
