Marta Ferri, a young photographer from Zurich, is back on C-Heads with another lovely natural series starring Atena.
“We spent five days in Italy at the beginning of September, we had so much fun and spent some very special moments together. The photos are a small tribute to this week, to one of the best vacations I’ve ever had, and to my best friend who probably knows me best.
Some photos simply capture a thing or a moment that seemed interesting to me, some shots may seem random, but they still create a mood and a narrative. I think the viewer will make up their own story in their head because the photos show three different places and different times of day. The mood is kind of nostalgic, which makes sense because summer is over and the days are getting shorter. The series embodies the joy that summer brings, the magic of this season, maybe the idealization of it.
Most of the photos were not planned. Perhaps the series is also a tribute to the beauty of small, ordinary things that we often forget to notice: a laugh, a moment admiring the view from the window, the sun’s rays tickling our bodies. The images show spontaneous moments, as if closing our eyes for a moment after looking at a situation or an object, and making a memory out of it.”
