Some events unfold with remarkable speed, much like the photoshoot featuring Daphne Marleen photographed by Jelle Stokhof. The duo had just one hour to create a photo series—a stunning collection imbued with intimacy, a golden touch, and pure beauty.
Daphne and Jelle had been attempting to plan a shoot for quite some time, but their respective locations in New York and Utrecht posed a challenge. When Daphne made a brief visit to the Netherlands to see family, they seized the opportunity. Jelle, who began his career shooting primarily on film, sought to recapture that essence in digital form. “We ended up shooting this series that I dubbed ‘An Hour with Daphne’ since the whole series was shot in about an hour in Utrecht. No makeup, no lights, and minimal retouching. Just pure beauty, a camera, and that’s it. We went for a classic, intimate feel that hopefully reminds the viewer of quieter times.”
