Born in the creative bustle of London and now firmly established in Munich, Kintana offers a new perspective on water-wear, presenting a minimalist, body-enhancing aesthetic. The philosophy underpinning the brand challenges the convention that water-wear should sacrifice style for functionality, instead imbuing every piece with a sense of adventure and limitless possibility, while steadfastly maintaining a commitment to sustainability.

The powerhouse behind Kintana is an all-female team, demonstrating a dedication to utilising innovative eco-friendly materials throughout the collections. The brand’s partnership with Seatrees furthers this commitment, ensuring one mangrove tree is planted for every item sold.

Each piece of the swimwear collection, meticulously produced in Italy, is woven from ECONYL®—a recycled nylon derived from waste that would otherwise litter the earth. The fabric resists chlorine and suncream, provides UV protection, and allows for breathability.

The latest collection is a visual homage to the vibrant summers of Cape Town and the ever-changing textures of its kelp forests.

The wetsuit collection fuses bio and limestone-based neoprene, lined with recycled polyester sourced from post-consumer PET bottles. This limestone neoprene reduces PVC usage, diminishing petroleum dependence. Bio-prene, a wholly neoprene-free product, is crafted from renewable resources. Waste from production is ingeniously transformed into dive mask covers, safeguarding hair from becoming entangled. With an eye on further reducing its environmental footprint, Kintana employs recycled tags and labels, and utilises soy-based inks for printing on FSC-certified, acid, sulphur, and lignin-free paper.

The latest collection is a visual homage to the vibrant summers of Cape Town and the ever-changing textures of its kelp forests. These timeless feelings are captured in suminagashi prints of deep Atlantic blue and kelp green.

Through the artistic vision of Isabel Hayn, the effervescent models Isis and Meeca are beautifully depicted in the photo series. Their joy and the essence of summer are frozen in time as they engage in a playful game of beach tennis. As you immerse yourself in the series, you can almost hear the gentle crash of waves and the soft rustle of the sea breeze, completing the sensory journey that Kintana invites you on.

Hello from my planet! I love nature, freedom, dancing, traveling, music, reading, chilling, cats and the woods. What makes me happy is healthy food, a good night out, long walks in the forest and getting lost in the sound of nature.
