Mildfire just released their new single and bonus track ‘Never Change (Live Version)’ as part of their debut album ‘Kids In Traffic‘. This Berlin/Oslo-based collective delivers a sound as soothing as the ocean’s murmur, captivating and then gently releasing the listener in just under three minutes.

Mildfire says, “‘Never Change’ is a sweet yet melancholic alt-folk/indie piece about trying to apologize, but also about unconditional love, and not losing sight of your own mental health. We re-recorded this track the way we play it in our live set, which turns out to be even a bit more tender and intimate!”

The group marks a new chapter for members previously active in the Norwegian indie scene. The band emerges from the Einar Stray Orchestra. Ofelia Ossum from Team Me adds her clear vocals and cello, enhancing Einar Stray’s unique baritone and introducing his falsetto. Steinar Glas from Astrosaur on bass and Lars Fremmerlid, recognized for his contributions to MesaVerde/Synne Sanden, complete the lineup with skilled drumming.

Hello from Berlin! I love freedom, travelling, long train rides, Stefan Zweig books, cats, colours, writing postcards, music, and movies à la Woody Allen and Wes Anderson. What makes me really happy is the seaside, sunrises and sunsets and having lots of time!
