“It is a firm belief of mine that creating in nature is one of the highest forms of art-making anyone can experience,” says model Julia Leavey about our lively recent collaboration. “Our approach to this shoot was one of pure enjoyment and open-mindedness, allowing the moments to unfold with a natural beauty, which I hope viewers will enjoy as much as I do!”
Photographer Dustin Scott Martin tells us this story: “Sometimes when you connect creatively with someone and the environment is just right, there’s a synchronizing of energies and a space opens up for something extraordinary to happen. This shoot with Julia was one of my first location shoots of the season, coming out of a long stint working in the studio, and honestly, I had forgotten how energizing all the little details of being in a place can be: the sun and the grit, the breeze, rocks, and bugs. Sometimes these factors feel like inconveniences, but it was empowering to rediscover their potential to animate us and connect us to a different side of our creativity.”
