Strapping in for a big 2025, Bristol’s Sig Sali is out with his second track in as many months with “Love’s Elixir.” The single comes in the form of an electro pop scape not unlike his compatriots The 1975’s I like it when you sleep… era, but with dashes of American icons like Jon Bellion or Owl City as well. Produced alongside Freddie Cowan and mix engineer Ricardo Acasuso, both who have worked previously with The Vaccines, it’s a song about fast love; “reckless… messy as hell,” as the singer-songwriter, whose real name is Danny Pugh, puts it. With a a performance at Glastonbury slated for the end of this week, and a full EP, Chaos In My Mind due out July 4, the Brit will have to wait for summer’s end to rest on his laurels.

“This song is about that kind of love that hits like a car crash: you don’t see it coming and suddenly it’s everywhere. It’s reckless, obsessive, messy as hell, but it feels the most alive you’ve ever been!”
“This song is about that kind of love that hits like a car crash: you don’t see it coming and suddenly it’s everywhere. It’s reckless, obsessive, messy as hell, but it feels the most alive you’ve ever been! You’re staying out too late, saying too much, laughing at nothing, touching as if you’re trying to memorise each other. There’s this fake confidence in the beginning, like you’re both playing it cool, but underneath, it’s terrifying because you know you’re already in too deep… It’s that moment where you don’t care if it’s gonna fall apart later, you just want to stay in the high a little longer. That’s what this song is. It’s not perfect. It’s real.”
