There are chapters in life that change us, that shape us. Sometimes I say to myself: this is where I was reborn in a way, and the version of me from yesterday no longer exists quite the same. These moments can come in many different forms, but they are often something bigger – something with the power to shift the way we see the world and ourselves within it.

For Juliet Fox, that moment was the birth of her son. “Giving birth completely shifted something inside me. It changed how I see life, how I see the world,” she tells us during our conversation. A transformation that also flows deeply through her new Technopatra series – a six-part release journey beginning with the powerful first single “Underground Queen”. The project marks a new era for Juliet, both personally and creatively. One shaped by independence, strength, vulnerability and a newly discovered freedom within herself and her music.

At the same time, she is opening up space for conversations that still remain underrepresented within the electronic scene: motherhood, identity shifts, creativity after childbirth, and the emotional reality of balancing family life with a career in music. Alongside the releases, Juliet has also launched the first episode of her new podcast series The Mother Frequency, creating a platform for honest conversations with women navigating motherhood while working within creative industries.

We caught up with Juliet Fox to talk about transformation, reconnecting with yourself, Technopatra, and finding balance between motherhood and music.

Welcome Juliet! Let’s start with a feeling. (smiles) Becoming a mother often shifts everything. What changed inside you, creatively and emotionally, after giving birth?

After giving birth, finally seeing my son after carrying him for so long was the most incredible feeling, and in the most beautiful way. It completely shifted something inside me. It changed how I see life, how I see the world. Creatively, it gave everything a new meaning, I’m not just doing things for myself anymore, but for him too.

You’ve returned to touring while raising a child. What is it like to move between such different worlds?

Going back to shows was definitely an adjustment, but I performed five weeks after having him, and it felt incredible. Getting ready, putting my make-up on, playing my music, connecting with the crowd, it reminded me so much of who I was as I had totally switched off to this. At the same time, coming home to my own little bubble with him felt just as special. It’s a constant shift between two worlds, but I’ve found it really important to stay connected to the same version of myself.

In another interview you said, “My love for music is never going to change — it’s never going to be a limitation. If anything, having a baby can be even more inspiring, because you want to show them what you’re doing and share that with them.” What else, beyond motherhood, continues to inspire you after so many years in the industry?

A lot of it comes down to personal growth, always wanting to evolve, push boundaries creatively, and inspire others. I’ve always been fascinated by what music can do to people, how it can completely lift your energy, move you in such powerful ways and change your state. Being part of this industry still feels limitless to me, there’s always something new to explore, create, or build.

Let’s talk about your new Technopatra series. What kind of version of yourself are we meeting in this chapter? (smiles)

This chapter feels like a deeper expression of who I am as an artist. It’s not just about performing anymore, it’s about fully stepping into my identity, with complete creative freedom and control. Technopatra feels like a real home for my work and a way to express myself and sound.

“People don’t just want to hear music anymore, they want to experience it.”

The first single “Underground Queen” carries strength in its title alone. What does being a “queen” mean to you now?

For me, it represents stepping into a new era. Over the past few years, I’ve been building a label and creating a platform for other artists, and now this feels like coming home to myself and my own sound. The “Underground Queen” is about inner strength, and it’s not exclusive. Anyone can embody that energy, and that’s what I’m trying to put out there.

The electronic scene often feels fast-moving and focused on what’s new. How has your perspective on it evolved over the years?

I actually enjoy how fast it moves. Evolution is necessary, and technology is shaping everything at such a rapid pace. I think the scene is progressing in the way it needs to, as people don’t just want to hear music anymore, they want to experience it. I’m open to where it’s going, even with things like AI becoming part of the creative process. As long as it doesn’t replace the human element, it can be something really powerful to work with and help with this fast paced lifestyle.

With your new The Mother Frequency podcast, you’re opening up space for conversations beyond music. What made you feel that this platform was needed right now?

There really aren’t enough open conversations about motherhood within the music industry, or a space for these women to share their stories, to connect, or to speak honestly about their experiences. I felt like it was time to create a platform where those voices could be heard, and we can share our experiences and insights.

“Giving birth completely shifted something inside me. It changed how I see life, how I see the world.”

What kind of stories or voices are you hoping to bring forward through the podcast?

I want to explore the real, personal experiences of women balancing their careers with pregnancy and motherhood. That transition, especially the first year, was such a huge shift for me, and I want to talk to mothers who are much further into their journey. I think it’s important to show that it is possible, especially when you have the right support. Hearing those stories in an honest, natural way can be really powerful for others going through the same thing.

I feel like during your live performances, you really love the connection with your fans – it’s so beautiful to watch. (smiles) How important is this part of your work to you?

It’s incredibly important to me. In the beginning, I was quite shy and nervous, and I didn’t feel as connected to the crowd. But over time, I’ve really learned how to build that connection, whether someone is right in front of the booth or further back on the dancefloor. I always want that energy exchange, and it makes the whole experience so much more meaningful, and it elevates my performances.

Looking back at your journey so far – what would you tell your younger self about balancing identity, career, and personal life?

I’ve always had a lot of energy — even more so when I was younger. I was a bit wild, very free-spirited, always curious and open to life. I loved going out, dancing, meeting new people. That part of me has never really changed. I’ve always tried to stay balanced, and I feel incredibly grateful to be where I am — to have built a life doing something I truly love. I think I’d just whisper to my younger self: don’t change anything… just flow and be you. I really love who I’ve become.

And finally, beyond the obvious, what feels most important in life to you right now?

Of course, my son is everything. But beyond that, it’s about becoming the best version of myself in every way, mentally, physically, emotionally. Not just success in my career, but feeling balanced and strong in myself. In a way, returning to who I was before, but growing into a much more evolved version of that person.
