Belgium based photographer Dinaya Waeyaert captured an intimate series called “Days Gone By” which deals with the topic of being afraid of growing up. The photographs capture her friends showing their bodies to the world, human vs nature. “My work can be seen as a visual diary of my own in which others can perfectly relate.”

“Ever since I started photographing I’ve been putting my friends in front of my lens. I love to create images that are intimate. Days Gone By is like a visual diary about my surroundings where I love to photograph the people I know, showing them how they look in the present. The pictures represent something where we can all look back at when we are older, building up memories for ourselves. It’s about the every day life, a game between fiction and reality. The transition point between young and adulthood. The series collect the joy of life combined with a no rules attitude.
All photographed on 35mm”

Hello from my planet! I love nature, freedom, dancing, music, my family, reading, chilling, cats and the woods. What makes me happy is healthy food, a good night out, long walks in the forest with my boyfriend and getting lost in the sound of nature.
