“This is a series of a weekend I spent in a magical forest, with my boyfriend.”

About us:
“My name is Alba, I am from Barcelona and I am constantly in movement around the world. I teach Yoga all around the globe and enjoy taking pictures of the trips, especially of our lifestyle; photos that tell stories, showing the inner world of interesting people and the places they visit. I am not a professional photographer and this is one of my first stories, but I am very passionate about this art and enjoy the process so much.”

About the place:
Next to a creek sits a cabin made out of the local redwood, with a steel hot-tub outside, heated by a wood-fire lit underneath. Only accessible down a switch-back dirt road, with a fourwheel drive, the property is scattered with found-object metal sculptures, redwoods and rugged hills. It is a place where you can run around naked, scream, and dance. The only neighbors are deers, eagles, coyotes, and the solitary cougar who follows the creek-bed on his daily patrols. You can swim in the creek, sunbathe on the rocks, hike through the hills… Without electricity, the only
lights are those of the candles at night.”

A Weekend at the Cabin in the Woods:
We are young… well, we are young adults. We are not the teenagers we were, that would go out and get drunk every weekend. We are a different generation from the ones that came before us. We want to see the world. We feel we came out here because of a deep curiosity… we came here to experience. Who are we? We are experiencers. We travel, fall in love, explore, discover, meet people. We enjoy the small things, the things that you can experience with little or no money. We are are nomads, always on the way. We took these pictures while we were away for a weekend at a cabin in the woods. With no eyes to observe us, no minds to judge us, we explore the surrounding forest naked. We collect fallen redwood branches and build fires to heat the water. We feel we live in a fantasy world, as a warrior and a elf. We feel comfortable far away from the hustle and the noise of the crowds, in contact with the nature. All of the pictures were taken naturally throughout our day, while being ourselves, being crazy, living inside of a magical book that tells a story we write ourselves.

Hello from my planet! I love nature, freedom, dancing, music, my family, reading, chilling, cats and the woods. What makes me happy is healthy food, a good night out, long walks in the forest with my boyfriend and getting lost in the sound of nature.
