Smartphone displays of people in the New York subway

New York-based photographer Jeff Mermelstein uses his current art project to show photographed smartphone displays of people in the New York subway. Secretly recorded, they give the viewer an insight into the privacy of the persons without revealing their identity. The highest art of street photography is a kind of voyeurism, allowing us to see without being seen. The 1957 born artist masters this perfectly and leaves me with an amazement and a kind of thoughtfulness.

Hello from my planet! I love nature, freedom, dancing, traveling, music, reading, chilling, cats and the woods. What makes me happy is healthy food, a good night out, long walks in the forest and getting lost in the sound of nature.
