“Nostalgia” Valeria Schettino´s new series searching for the sense of sadness.

“With this series starring Ana Suanes I wanted to describe this sense of sadness and research.” Malaga based photographer Valeria Schettino explains. Her work is always a deep and sensual capture of intimate and story telling moments. “The search for light, even while remaining in the shade. Feeling small in the midst of an infinite sea, but at the same time with the desire to feel free, to be able to scream and live in your own way. It is sadness, but awareness. Fragility, but strength.

Very often I felt at fault to feel sad, I could not understand what was happening inside me.
I  understood that what I felt was melancholy, a unique sensation, which I often need.

So I began to live this emotion intensely, without feeling wrong, but trying to describe it through photographs, sometimes with self-portraits, others, as in this case, I rely on souls similar to mine.

Hello from my planet! I love nature, freedom, dancing, music, my family, reading, chilling, cats and the woods. What makes me happy is healthy food, a good night out, long walks in the forest with my boyfriend and getting lost in the sound of nature.
