“While shooting in the burnt down wattle forest, we saw the remains of a tortoise, black and half reduced to ashes as it tried to flee for its life. It made a chilling impression as metaphor for the larger situation at play in our world. And it made sense with Annabel and David to portray a play on mankind, able to still laugh and love on top of a blazing inferno. The end of Eden. Somehow love always seems to transcend even the most dire of situations.”
