“I photographed this series a couple days before the UK went into full lockdown. Still the city was eerily quiet with an uneasy energy. We were hoping to capture the feeling of being locked down and confined to an apartment and really tried to replicate the stages of feelings that you go through in that scenario, ie lonliness, craziness and boredom, where the only sound was the quiet whir of an electric clock. We wanted to capture a juxtaposition of the mundanity of life at this time alongside Paris’ own vibrant, creative personality and empowerment.”
