A good image often lives from those small, quiet moments and it gives the viewer the impetus to think of how this image might continue. A bit like a movie in your head.
“For this photo shoot only two people were involved. Me and her. We shot at my studio in Mexico City.” Armando Juárez started telling us. “Isamar González, who is a professional model, yoga teacher and sound-therapist, came all the way from Costa Rica in order to search for more opportunities for her career as a model and so she contacted me on instagram because she wanted to do something different than what she was used to. When I met her she immediately reminded me of Monica Bellucci in Giuseppe Tornatore’s film Malèna. I couldn’t refuse to conceptualize that idea, along with it, in a contemporary and organic setting.”
