“It’s all about you. The world is yours. Live your dream. Experience more and as much as you can. You can do everything you want. Be active. Be fit. You can cross all your borders. Take whatever you want. Be whoever you want.” Any of these sound familiar to you? Well, then welcome to our times, where we are pushed to be all out there, at the very front, full of power and focused almost all the time. Living an adventurous and confident life, self-optimized, reckless, surrounded by like-minded people, we are rushing from one experience to the next, like chasing our own tail. To pause or to be quiet is only another well-optimized target in order not to stunt our spiritutal side, that needs to be nurtured in order to not appear like a hunted animal but rather like someone who has found his way of life and inner balance. But can we ever find this real inner peace in world that has almost no place for real quietness?

In a world where the loud and reckless people dominate and where society tries to smooth out all differences bit by bit, also the from nature more introverted ones are at risk to change their allegedly less dominant behaviour in order to adapt to a constant hunt for personal attention. Maybe it’s time to get a little more quiet, to take a step back sometimes. And to become a little more we instead of only me. I turn my head and look at the countless tiny, twinkling stars that look like they are being swallowed up soon by the pitch-black evening sky and fall asleep.

Hello from Berlin! I love freedom, travelling, long train rides, Stefan Zweig books, cats, colours, writing postcards, music, and movies à la Woody Allen and Wes Anderson. What makes me really happy is the seaside, sunrises and sunsets and having lots of time!
