Skyline Festival in Downtown Los Angeles isn’t really your typical “festival”—it feels way more like a massive, living piece of the city’s underground scene. Tucked right next to the Arts District, the vibe is super raw and honest, blending open-air stages with warehouse energy. It’s the kind of place where you just lose track of time as the sun dips and the day melts into those deep, late-night hours. The music is the heartbeat of it all, constantly shifting from sunny, feel-good house to those heavier, driving beats that keep you moving.
What really hit home this year wasn’t just one specific set, but the way everyone on the lineup brought their own unique soul to the space. DJ Seinfeld caught the perfect golden hour vibe at the West Side stage right by the train tracks—one of those “you had to be there” moments where everything just felt right. Over at the East Side stage under the 6th Street Bridge, Paramida, Stacy Christine, and HANK crushed it with these effortless, flowing sets that bridged the gap between old-school roots and where house is headed next.
Meanwhile, inside the warehouse at the Arts District stage, Juliet Mendoza and CQUESTT kept the underground spirit alive with sets that were as soulful as they were punchy. Honestly, Skyline just felt different this year. It wasn’t a checklist of performances; it was one long, continuous conversation between the booth and the dance floor.
