Hello from Berlin! I love freedom, travelling, long train rides, Stefan Zweig books, cats, colours, writing postcards, music, and movies à la Woody Allen and Wes Anderson. What makes me really happy is the seaside, sunrises and sunsets and having lots of time!

“A slightly ironic depiction of how I feel everytime I move somewhere new.” Cold Cold Nights’ new music video takes us on a ride through Berlin

“11 Rue de Médicis”, is thus the first single of it and has become a truly catchy indie-rock pop song, atmospheric and timeless. The accompanying self-directed music video shows Jakub in different scenes around Berlin and beyond. Alone, but not lonely, arriving at a new place, searching a bit for “his” place, being part of a city, and becoming part of the city himself

Premiere: Somewhere in an anxious dream-state with Morabeza Tobacco’s “Teachers In The Mood”

When Morabeza Tobacco, a Lo-fi duo from Stockholm, create new music, they are driven by exploring things in a natural, introversive and fun way, not worrying about how the songs might sound live but just going with this feeling of how they want their songs to come out while being in the studio and enjoying the process of working on them.

The work of photographer Daniela López are balm for the soul. Her images invite you to rest, let you immerse yourself in other people’ moments and to dive into the small beauties of life. “Just as you can like a song because it gives you an emotion, I think the same thing happens to me with photography – When I see an image that makes me feel something, I know it’s a successful one.”

Taking a step back

Maybe it’s time to get a little more quiet, to take a step back sometimes. And to become a little more we instead of only me. I turn my head and look at the countless tiny, twinkling stars that look like they are being swallowed up soon by the pitch-black evening sky and fall asleep.

“I’ve always been a very restless soul.” Sofia Karlberg talks new “Hold My Love” EP, Moroccan roots and being in the here and now

Describing herself as a bit of a restless soul, the pandemic made her realize about always being on the run, with endless possibilites around each corner, but having a hard time to put two and two together and not really living in the present moment. The realization of all that and relocating from her home city Stockholm to Berlin had a great influence and impact not only on her life but also on her music and new EP.

Worthwile

I had this nice profound conversation with a friend yesterday. About life, about if your small actions can actually really change something. About if it’s worth or wrong to convince someone else about what you believe in. I thought that, even though I try to do certain things to contribute to make a positive impact to the world, at the end it is useless. As the world is so big, and each of us is just such a small part of it so things will never change.

Cover Me in Pink

When the world weighs
heavily on us,
we still one day
need to be
in love with the world
