“I have a deep love for this planet and everything on it. I’m passionate about – maybe even obsessed by – women, so my explorations prioritise the female body. Looking at the female body in way that oscillates between sensual, physical and graphic gestures. I usually work with my subjects one-on-one, to a point where we reach a certain level of intimacy. What excites me most is to produce an image that no one else has before. I’m just trying to be sort of on the edge.”
“We do not exist without nature. And I am interested in how ‘human nature’ interprets ‘animal nature’.” The work of Anne Barlinckhoff delivers a deep insight into the beauty we are surrounded with. Her nouveau hardcoverbook “animals, bodyparts and nature in africa” is now show at the Stellenbosch University Fine Arts Department.
