“Pink Beauty” continues spreading the love vibe of our new issue “Summer. Lovers and Strangers“. Photographer Alexandra Gavillet inspired by muted tones and vast washed out land, set out to place a pair of lovers in this silent space. Pink Beauty X Made By Dawn focuses on the very intimate scene of a couple and the immense space outside of them, working to juxtapose and unite. It is an exploration into the idyllic natural, the utopian landscape. How might the space change once inhabited by bodies? How might the bodies change when overcome by expansive space?

This piece really captures the feeling of isolation in such a vast landscape. I appreciate how the imagery allows the people to blend into their surroundings while still telling their own story. It makes me think about how small we can feel in the grand scheme of things.
