This adorable fashion short film conjured a smile on our faces! The French Nu-Wave inspired, shot all in black and white super 8mm clip was directed and edited by Naomi Christie and filmed by John Geronilla and features Zoe Elyse.

“My DP John and I were working on a film job when he mentioned he had some extra black and white super 8 film laying around, so I suggested we film a quirky fashion film. Zoe and I have been wanting to do something 60’s French Nu-Wave inspired so I called her up. Tentative Romance is about a girl who responds to a dating personal and goes on a blind date. Things don’t go as planned but she comes up with a solution that is sure to leave you smiling. We only had two rolls of super 8 film and we didn’t plan very much of this shoot. It was quite simply done and the day was a breeze. It was just fun to create with friends and give my dog, Bobo an adorable cameo.” Makeup by Lauren Ribera and wardrobe provided by Dietch PR featuring Lucy Paris and Happy Hour. Music scored by Steven Colyer.

I really enjoyed this short film. Zoe Elyse brought such a charming energy to the story. The fashion choices were also fun and added a lot to the overall vibe. It definitely put me in a good mood. Thanks for sharing this delightful piece!
