Last weekend Kimberley Ross attended her first tattoo convention as a photographer catching some of the faces. “Instead of the usual reporting of people at work doing and receiving tattoos, I decided to concentrate on portraits and I brought my little fuji instant camera with me. Whenever you read about the intimacy an instant camera can give you and your subject let me tell you: it’s so true. People were absolutely captivated by this little camera, the magic of seeing an image coming to life in front of you, the uniqueness of it – having it with me made it for a lot of interesting conversations, and by the third day of the convention I had made a great number of new friends.
