“You need to fall in love with your subjects in order to achieve something unique” The work of Steven Gindler

“You need to fall in love with each of your subjects just a tiny bit in order to achieve something unique.”

“Cvatik” is my Russian name spelled phonetically in English.” New Yersey based talent Steven Gindler started photography in the New York City nightlife scene in 2013 as a way to force himself to socialize. “I have always had terrible social anxiety and the camera helped to create a physical and emotional barrier when interacting with people. Fast forward to now, and the camera helps me build relationships rather than hide from them.” he tells about his beginnings. And we are happy he did. “I want to capture feelings, emotions, the essence of human beings. It’s a typical answer, but it isn’t wrong. My theory is that you need to fall in love with each of your subjects just a tiny bit in order to achieve something unique. Once you learn what you need to know in order to create a “good” image, you need to then expand on that with something personal, something human.”

Hello from my planet! I love nature, freedom, dancing, traveling, music, reading, chilling, cats and the woods. What makes me happy is healthy food, a good night out, long walks in the forest and getting lost in the sound of nature.

I completely agree with the idea that connection leads to better work. When I have a genuine interest in a subject, it always shows in my results. It’s amazing how that little bit of passion can make all the difference.
