“I think we are a generation who has been taught that if we work hard we can have everything we want. And when you enter your twenties and discover that this is not true, it is quite hard to assume.”

Barcelona based photographer and graphic designer Ari Seg debuts on C-Heads with a story starring model Júlia Moreno shot on Nikkormat with Kodak portra. In our interview she talks about how she get discovered as a model, friends, her biggest interests and goals for 2018. Styling done by Vaini Brown.

How did you get discovered as a model?

I took part in a competition that was organized next to my city. I won the second prize and one of the members of the jury was working as a booker in an important agency in Barcelona, who thought that I had potential. That year I was moving to Barcelona to begin my studies in university so I signed with them.

What do you like most about yourself?

Physically, my brows. I think they give me a lot of expression. In general, I like my interest for what’s happening around. I am always willing to try and learn new things. I try to read a lot, watch as many films as I can, meeting new people… When I find something that can provide me new points of views I try to squeeze out as much as I can!

“There are lots of moments when I want to be alone, but my friends are essential for me”

How important are friends for you?

I guess that like most of the people that have my age, a lot. I am quite bipolar with this. There are lots of moments when I want to be alone, but my friends also mean a lot to me. I try to surround myself with persons who I consider appealing. People who have a dark side but who can also help making my life more interesting. Most of them could be characters of a good book. Those details are why my friends are essential for me.

Where can we find you on a Monday morning?

I am studying maths at university, so every morning you can find me there, having a chat with my class colleagues.

“I think we are a generation who has been thaught that if we work hard we can have everything we want. And when you enter your twenties and discover that this is not true, it is quite hard to assume.”

The most challenging thing about being young in our times?

Accepting that you won´t have the life that you had dreamed about. I think we are a generation who has been thaught that if we work hard we can have everything we want. And when you enter your twenties and discover that this is not true, it is quite hard to assume.

Goals for 2018?

Finishing the university, work harder, do more sports and reading Tolstoi’s “War and Peace”. And start writting again.

Hello from my planet! I love nature, freedom, dancing, music, my family, reading, chilling, cats and the woods. What makes me happy is healthy food, a good night out, long walks in the forest with my boyfriend and getting lost in the sound of nature.
