There is something about hotel rooms that makes everything feel a little more intimate. Away from the routines of home, the outside world feels a little further away, and even the smallest moments begin to feel different. Photographed in black and white by Manfredi Martorana in an Amsterdam hotel room, Room Service follows Inna Light through a day of coffee, work, bare skin, reflections in the bathroom mirror, and time spent by the window.
“Although the series was created with a model, my intention was less to photograph beauty than to observe a person inhabiting a temporary space. I was interested in the small rituals, the moments between poses, and the atmosphere that emerges when nothing particular is happening. The series combines film and digital photography, presented in black and white to emphasize gesture, mood, and intimacy.”
