“I thought New York would be an amazing place to experience young adulthood and really push me out of my comfort zone. I was right. New York is really like no place I’ve ever dreamed up. It’s gritty but so beautiful. So full of culture, opportunity, and literally a new experience every day if you choose!”

Aly Antorcha is just one of those gals that everyone seems to love. She´s cute, natural and her smile will make your day. Photographer Danny Lane just captured her essence so perfectly.

Hey Aly, what are you doing tonight?

Tonight I was thinking of hosting a marathon of obscure Netflix movies that I haven’t yet seen with my stuffed friends that live on my bed!

What are your friends like?

My friends are all beautiful, unique, caring, and funny people. My most cherished relationships are often with people who I really admire, in many aspects. I enjoy surrounding myself with good people who motivate me to be the best person and friend I can be.

What’s something you love?

I love sweet potatoes. I could live off of them if that option were sustainable.

What’s something you hate?

Modern Disney Channel. But I love Disney. A buffet of assorted sweet potato recipes in Disney World is something I would not hate.

Where are you from?

I was born and raised in Washington, D.C., but moved to Virginia during my ‘teens.’ Pretty cool places to grow up, honestly. But I don’t plan to ever settle there.

Why and when did you move to New York?

I moved to New York a couple of months ago for my gap year(s) before college! I thought it would be an amazing place to experience young adulthood and really push me out of my comfort zone. I was right. New York is really like no place I’ve ever dreamed up. It’s gritty but so beautiful. So full of culture, opportunity, and literally a new experience every day if you choose!

What do you want to be doing in the year 2025?

2025!?!? In 10 years, I will be 29, and I really only hope to be healthy, successful, and happy.

Hello from my planet! I love nature, freedom, dancing, traveling, music, reading, chilling, cats and the woods. What makes me happy is healthy food, a good night out, long walks in the forest and getting lost in the sound of nature.
